MORTE FRANCE Announces New Album Hesperia, Reveals First Track “Europa Aeterna”

Antiq Records has announced the release of Hesperia, the highly anticipated second full-length from MORTE FRANCE, arriving December 15th worldwide.

Listen to “Europa Aeterna”:

Formed in 2021 by Kval, Morte France stands at the intersection of black metal, spiritual philosophy, and militant introspection. Following the debut EP Sola Fide (Archaic Sound, 2022) and the acclaimed first album Souveraineté Radiale (Antiq, 2023), the project returns with an even more intimate and visionary work.

Hesperia explores the eternal soul of Europe, both pagan and Christian, in a poetic and philosophical meditation inspired by thinkers such as Ernst Jünger, Hermann Hesse, Jean Cau, and David Engels. Through seven sweeping compositions, Morte France seeks reconciliation between the continent’s dual heritages: the elemental mysticism of ancient paganism and the transcendent light of Christianity.

From the defiant heroism of “Waldgänger” to the luminous introspection of “Lux Meae”, the album embodies a radiant, vital impulse without abandoning the project’s radical core. Hesperia is an act of spiritual resistance, a hymn to the grandeur, melancholy, and sacred beauty of the Old World.

The cover artwork, created by Veneden, merges medieval engraving and Dürer’s Knight, Death and the Devil, depicting a knight’s passage through a corrupt modernity toward eternal light. In keeping with Morte France’s elusive aesthetic, the imagery includes photographs of an anonymous European woman, a living emblem of the project’s ideals.
