Horror death metal band MRSA, formed in 2013 in Lake Worth, Florida, has released the lyric video for I Am The Swarm, the lead single from their debut album Horrifier, set for release in late summer/early fall 2025 via CDN Records. Inspired by Clive Barker’s The Forbidden, the basis for Candyman, the track delivers intense, horror-fueled death metal with theatrical flair. “It’s the first sweet taste of this album’s full intensity,” says vocalist Dean Corpse. Watch the lyric video here:
Featuring Dean Corpse (vocals), Joe Dwyer (guitar), Cory Bickford (guitar), Johnny Honeycutt (bass), and Brett Ackling (drums), MRSA brings horror films to life with scare actors and props, following their 2019 EP Biography of Madness and 2021’s Heavier, mastered by Terrence Hobbs (Suffocation). Horrifier ties its 12 tracks to classic horror films like Friday the 13th and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The band celebrates the album’s release with a blood-splattered show on August 16, 2025, at Propaganda in Lake Worth, Florida, featuring punk rockers Gunnar Gill, grindcore act Antiseptic, and Tampa’s Grave Filth. The 18+ event starts at 8 PM with $10 entry.
