Houston, Texas black metallers NECROFIER have released a new video and single, “Fires Of The Apocalypse, Light My Path III”, taken from their forthcoming full-length Transcend Into Oblivion, due out February 27 via Metal Blade Records.

Since forming in 2018, NECROFIER have fused the icy atmospheres of mid-’90s Norwegian black metal with a distinctly American ferocity.
The album is built around a conceptual three-act structure, with the number three playing a central symbolic role across the record’s suites and interludes. Vocalist and guitarist Bakka explains that Transcend Into Oblivion traces a Luciferian “Dark Night of the Soul”, from awakening, through struggle, and ultimately rebirth.
Regarding today’s single, Bakka notes:
“As you question everything you know to be true, life starts to become difficult. You start to realize that your new path is not without consequences… and there’s no going back.”
Recorded in Houston at Southwing Studios and House Of Thorns, the album was produced and engineered by Joel Hamilton, mixed at Studio G in Brooklyn, and features striking artwork by José Gabriel Alegría Sabogal (Whoredom Rife, Mephorash).
Transcend Into Oblivion will be available on CD, digital, and multiple 2xLP vinyl variants.
