San Francisco-based thrash metal supergroup Nefarious, featuring Katon W. De Pena (Hirax, vocals), Rick Hunolt (Diehumane, ex-Exodus, guitar), Doug Piercy (Heathen, Anvil Chorus, Blind Illusion, guitar), Tom Gears (Blind Illusion, Ancient Mariner, bass), and Will “Beastman” Carroll (Death Angel, drums), released the music video for their new single “Master Plan” on June 1, 2025. The track is the second single from their debut album Addicted to Power, set for release on July 18, 2025, through Relentless “Metal” Records, with collector vinyl via Hectic/Bleeding Priest Records. Recorded at Soundwave Studios in Oakland, California, by George Anderson Photography, the video mirrors the song’s raw intensity with a chaotic visual assault, reflecting its themes of corruption and control.

De Pena described the track as a “sonic sensory overload of epic proportions, heavy enough to crush a tank,” while Carroll highlighted its groove and heaviness, noting the rhythm section’s lock-in that allows the guitars to “rip” under commanding vocals. Piercy added, “Let’s get ready to rage! We are really stoked to finally be able to release this stuff… More insane videos and shows are coming soon!” The album features eight tracks:
- Mirror Death
- Addicted To Power
- Master Plan
- Together We Rise
- Day After
- Snarler
- Avatar of Chaos
- One Nation Enslaved
