Black metal band Pestilential Shadows, formed in 2003 in Australia, premiered the video for Death-Knell on August 4, 2025, via the Black Metal Promotion YouTube channel, from their eighth album Wretch, set for release on September 5, 2025, via Northern Silence Productions and Brilliant Emperor Records. The previously released Where Sunlight Goes to Die at pestilentialshadows-northernsilence.bandcamp.com. Pre-orders for CD, vinyl (black, amber, amber/black marble), and digital formats are available at store.northern-silence.de. Recorded with mixing by Balam and mastering by Krvna Vatra of Krvna, the 49-minute album features artwork by Greallach Art and guest choral vocals by Dis Pater of Midnight Odyssey on Where Sunlight Goes to Die. The lineup includes Balam (vocals, guitar), Basilysk (drums), Lithuz (bass), and Drekavac (guitar).
