RAMMSTEIN Announces ‘Live In Mexico City’ Concert Film And Live Album

Rammstein are bringing the fire of their monumental stadium shows to the big screen with RAMMSTEIN – LIVE IN MEXICO CITY, a new feature-length concert film arriving in cinemas worldwide on November 4 for a limited theatrical run.

The film documents the German industrial metal giants’ massive three-night stand at Mexico City’s Foro Sol on October 1, 2 and 4, 2022, where nearly 200,000 fans witnessed the closing shows of the North American leg of Rammstein’s stadium tour.

In addition to its theatrical release, RAMMSTEIN – LIVE IN MEXICO CITY will be released as a live album across physical and digital formats on November 20.

Filmed in 4K and directed by award-winning filmmaker Paul Dugdale, whose credits include projects with The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Elton John and Adele, the concert film captures the scale, pyrotechnics and theatricality that have defined Rammstein’s live performances.

The set features material spanning the band’s career, including “Armee der Tristen,” “Deutschland,” “Du riechst so gut,” “Sonne” and “Du hast,” along with a rare performance of “Te quiero puta!”

The Mexico City performances capped Rammstein’s first-ever North American stadium production in 2022. Bringing the show overseas required seven 747 aircraft and nearly 210 crew members, with the tour beginning August 21 in Montreal before hitting seven U.S. stadiums and ultimately concluding with the three Foro Sol concerts.

Those performances were part of Rammstein’s larger 2019–2024 global stadium tour, which saw the band bring its enormous production to football stadiums around the world while supporting its two most recent studio albums: 2019’s untitled RAMMSTEIN and 2022’s ZEIT.

RAMMSTEIN – LIVE IN MEXICO CITY will screen worldwide beginning November 4, with regional exceptions. France will screen the film November 6, while Japan will host screenings November 5 and November 18.

Full cinema listings will be announced September 23 at 11:00 AM EDT, when tickets go on sale.

The film is being distributed internationally by Trafalgar Releasing, with Filmwelt Distribution handling Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Alto Adige and Luxembourg.

Formed in Berlin in 1994, Rammstein have maintained the same lineup throughout their career: Till Lindemann on vocals, Paul Landers and Richard Z. Kruspe on guitars, Flake on keyboards, Oliver Riedel on bass and Christoph Schneider on drums. Across more than three decades, the band has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and established itself as one of heavy music’s most ambitious live acts.

RAMMSTEIN – LIVE IN MEXICO CITY arrives in cinemas worldwide November 4, followed by the physical and digital live album release on November 20. Tickets go on sale September 23.
