A Dark Reflection of Modern Reality

“Hidden Empire” dives into themes of unseen systems shaping modern existence, delivering a tense and oppressive atmosphere both lyrically and musically.

The band explains:

“Hidden in plain sight… we no longer see what we are used to seeing… a reality to which we willingly submit.”

Musically, the track nods to Samael’s past, particularly recalling their classic My Saviour, before evolving into a crushing fusion of heavy riffs and industrial textures, maintaining relentless tension throughout.

First New Material in Nearly a Decade

The release marks Samael’s first new material since their 2017 album Hegemony, ending an eight-year gap and reaffirming their presence in the extreme metal landscape.

The limited vinyl will include:
• “Black Matter Manifesto”
“Hidden Empire”

This two-track release acts as a powerful statement of intent, blending the band’s classic black/industrial metal roots with a modern, mechanical edge.
