U.S. symphonic deathcore band Shadow of Intent have announced their fifth album, Imperium Delirium, set to drop June 27 via their independent release platform. Kicking off the chaos, they’ve unleashed the lead single “Feeding The Meatgrinder,” featuring the legendary George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher of Cannibal Corpse, alongside a visceral music video directed by Norbert Crowfield. Stream it now and pre-order at shadowofintent.com.
“We couldn’t be more stoked to launch album five with this track,” the band said. “Pushing our boundaries further with Corpsegrinder’s iconic growl was a dream come true.” Leaning harder into death metal than their signature deathcore sound, “Feeding The Meatgrinder” delivers anti-war fury with crushing riffs, orchestral flourishes, and Ben Duerr’s guttural ferocity amplified by Fisher’s unmistakable roar. It follows their 2024 single “Flying The Black Flag,” also slated for the 11-track record.

Formed in 2013 by Duerr and guitarist Chris Wiseman as a Halo-themed project, Shadow of Intent has evolved into a genre juggernaut, with Elegy (2022) cementing their status. Imperium Delirium promises to expand their sonic empire—brace for impact this summer!
