Florida hardcore band SOUTHPAW FLHC have unleashed the video for their crushing new single “Run Game,” the latest preview from their upcoming full-length album The Standard, due out July 31 via Spinefarm Records.
Watch the “Run Game” video here:
Built on thick, groove-laden riffs and a stomping ’90s-inspired breakdown, “Run Game” showcases SOUTHPAW FLHC’s aggressive blend of hardcore, punk, metal, and hip-hop influences. The track pairs mosh-ready intensity with a communal, anthemic chorus designed to hit just as hard live as it does on record.
“It’s a tip of the hat to those who move correct and a message to those who lead in their field,” the band explains. “‘Run Game’ is for the wise, the fearless, and the devoted.”
Describing the upcoming album as a whole, the band states:
“All gas, no brakes. Driven by hunger, discipline, and a relentless passion for the love of the game. This is The Standard.”

Comprised of Alan King (guitar), Harrison Linder (drums), Marc Laroche (bass), and Daryn LaMontagne (vocals), SOUTHPAW FLHC have steadily built momentum since the release of their self-titled EP in 2020. Fueled by a relentless DIY ethic, the band has spent the last several years releasing singles, self-producing videos, and touring extensively across the hardcore underground.
The group has shared stages with acts including Bodysnatcher, Hoods, With Blood Comes Cleansing, Tracheotomy, and Surfaced, earning a reputation for explosive live performances and chaotic mosh pits.
Earlier this year, SOUTHPAW FLHC embarked on a headline run alongside Cutthroats, Kind Eyes, Unvow, and Resistor while continuing to strengthen their hometown presence in Jacksonville, Florida. The band recently headlined and packed the inaugural show at Jacksonville venue HARDLOVE, further cementing their growing status within the modern hardcore scene.
“Southpaw is all about never giving in — being able to stare in the face of defeat and not allowing it to take you down,” says vocalist Daryn LaMontagne. “We want to be a sign of strength for people no matter what they’re going through, regardless of race, political party, or anything else. Southpaw is for everybody.”
To support The Standard, SOUTHPAW FLHC will hit the road this August and September for an extensive late summer headline tour, including a special record release show on August 1 in Jacksonville.
