THE NOCTAMBULANT Sign to Terminus Hate City + Release New Single “Bring The Sorrow”

THE NOCTAMBULANT have announced their signing to Terminus Hate City and released a new single titled “Bring The Sorrow,” accompanied by a lyric video.

The release marks the beginning of a new era for the band as they move deeper into their Southern Gothic-inspired direction, blending black metal with elements of blues, rockabilly, goth rock, American country, and blackened death metal. Despite this expanded sonic palette, THE NOCTAMBULANT retain their signature atmospheric extremity and occult-leaning intensity.

“Bring The Sorrow” offers the first glimpse into the band’s forthcoming full-length album Revival, scheduled for release on September 18 via Terminus Hate City.

On the signing, label founder Forrest Jessup commented on the band’s DIY ethos, highlighting their self-produced recordings, independent touring approach, and commitment to building their artistic identity. He described Revival as a fresh take on black metal that incorporates gothic death rock textures, organ-driven passages, melodic guitar work, and haunting Southern imagery.

Formed in 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida, THE NOCTAMBULANT were created by E. Helvete and D. Franseth following the dissolution of their previous project. The band later expanded with bassist Lars Goerschafft and guitarist Rev Beaumont, developing a sound rooted in black metal and blackened death metal while drawing heavily from Southern Appalachian folklore and gothic storytelling.

Their music channels influences such as Venom, Celtic Frost, Bathory, and Dark Funeral, fusing raw aggression with eerie atmosphere and regional mythos.

Revival is expected in 2026 via Terminus Hate City.
