Florida power metal band Seven Kingdoms have officially announced their sixth full-length album, Sono Sola, with a return to their fan-driven roots via a crowdfunding campaign launching May 26 and running through June 26. The album is slated for release this fall.
Marking a bold new chapter for the band, Sono Sola sees Seven Kingdoms pushing their sound further than ever—balancing their signature melodic intensity with a heavier, more refined edge.
“We are really excited for this record,” says guitarist Camden Cruz. “We took a lot of new chances and spent more time shaping the songs. This record contains the soul of the band. It’s the heaviest and highest-level release of our career. Sabrina is at the top of her game, and the band is firing on all cylinders.”
Longtime collaborator Jim Morris echoes that sentiment:
“This is the most melodic and heaviest Seven Kingdoms record we’ve ever done. Having more time to develop the music really made a difference, and I believe this album is going to open new doors for the band.”
Built at Morrisound
Sono Sola was recorded in April and May 2026 at the legendary Morrisound Recording, with Jim Morris handling production alongside co-producer Francesco Cavalieri (Wind Rose). The record was written collaboratively between the band and Morris, continuing a creative partnership that has helped define their modern era.
The album’s artwork was created by Bo Bradshaw, with the full track listing set to be revealed at the conclusion of the crowdfunding campaign.
A Career Still Ascending
Formed in 2007 in Deland, Florida, Seven Kingdoms steadily built their name through relentless touring and a distinct blend of high-energy power metal and melodic precision. A major early breakthrough came when they were selected by Blind Guardian for a North American tour, introducing them to a wider audience.
Since then, the band has continued to expand globally, sharing stages with acts like Stratovarius, Amaranthe, and Evergrey. Their 2022 album Zenith further solidified their place in the modern power metal landscape, followed by the 2024 EP The Square, released via Reigning Phoenix Music.
With international touring momentum and a growing global fanbase, Sono Sola positions Seven Kingdoms for their most impactful era yet.
