The track tells a mythological story of gods and mortals locked in conflict as corruption spreads through light, forcing the gods of darkness to rise and restore balance. It reflects one of the album’s central themes: the struggle between opposing cosmic forces.
Musically, the song blends black and death metal with atmospheric synth layers. It features melodic guitar work, aggressive riffs, dynamic drumming, harsh vocals, and subtle symphonic elements, balancing modern production with a raw, traditional extreme metal edge.
Awakened Ancient Spirits is a conceptual album exploring mythology, occult themes, spirituality, and the cycles of life, death, and creation. It draws inspiration from 1990s black and death metal while incorporating a modern songwriting approach.
VITHIAL is a melodic black/death metal project from Pensacola, Florida, created by David Dwayne in 2023. Initially intended as a collaborative project, it evolved into a solo vision.
The music is rooted in 90s black metal and Florida death metal, with thrash influences and a focus on melody, atmosphere, and intensity. Themes include darkness, mythology, death, and spirituality.
