Swedish heavy metal battalion TEMPLAR have officially announced their long-awaited debut full-length album, Conquering Swords, set for release on February 27, 2026 through Jawbreaker Records. A showcase of steel, melody, and classic metal fire, the album marks a major milestone for the band as they rise from underground promise to full-power contenders in the modern heavy metal scene.
To accompany the announcement, TEMPLAR have unveiled the album’s first single, “Trident”, which can be heard now on YouTube.
Recorded with Staffan Tengnér of Century, Conquering Swords preserves the warmth and spirit found on TEMPLAR’s earlier releases, including the “Treacherous Beast” seven-inch. Tengnér’s production captures the band’s raw energy with clarity, giving space for harmonized guitar leads, galloping rhythms, and bold vocal lines. Mastering was handled by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony, adding weight and power to the album’s overall sonic attack.
Conquering Swords unfolds across ten tracks that embrace a world of medieval grandeur and heroic storytelling. Fans of true heavy metal will find echoes of the First Wave of Swedish Heavy Metal, from the pioneering legacy of Heavy Load to the genre’s early epic traditions. Dual guitar leads slice through the mix like tempered steel, rhythms ride forward with unstoppable momentum, and anthemic choruses summon visions of kings, beasts, and battles long forgotten.
With Isak Neffling’s commanding vocals and thunderous bass, Mille Lundström’s driving drums, and the united guitar forces of Teddy Edoff and Gustav Harrysson, TEMPLAR aim their sound at the heart of pure, unfiltered heavy metal.
