New Jersey experimental metal collective TOMBS has dropped a haunting new single, Last Days. The track is streaming now via YouTube:

New album Feral Darkness out October 17, 2025 via Redefining Darkness.

Frontman Mike Hill comments:

“As we roll into the twilight months of the year, ‘Last Days’ is an appropriate song to herald the dark time when the veil is at its thinnest.”

The single comes from the band’s forthcoming album, Feral Darkness, due out October 17, 2025 via Redefining Darkness Records. Pre-orders are now live through Bandcamp and the Redefining Darkness store.

While rooted in TOMBS’ blackened foundation, Feral Darkness ventures further into gothic and death rock territory, marking their darkest and most atmospheric release yet. The record follows the previously released title track, “Feral Darkness,” which set the tone for the new era of the band.

The album artwork was created by Seldon Hunt, and the track listing is as follows:

01. Glass Eyes / Ghoul (04:05)
02. Feral Darkness (04:14)
03. Granite Sky (04:33)
04. The Sun Sets (05:52)
05. Last Days (06:10)
06. The Wintering (05:10)
07. Black Shapes (05:20)
08. Nightland (07:28) ft. Sera Timms (Black Mare, Ides of Gemini)
09. Wasps (04:27)
10. Glaeken (02:07)

Full running time: 50:23

Formed in 2007, TOMBS has built a reputation for blending bleak post-punk minimalism with sludge’s ferocity and gothic atmospherics. With Feral Darkness, the band channels all facets of their sound into a singular, shadowed vision.

  • Mike Hill – guitar / vocals / synth
  • Justin Spaeth – drums / guitar
  • Andrew Murphy – bass / guitar / vocals
  • Dan Higgins – guitar

Guest Musician:

  • Sera Timms – vocals on Nightland
