Aural Music has confirmed October 17, 2025 as the international release date for The Abyss Into Which We All Have to Stare, the highly anticipated fourth album from Italian progressive sludge band Void of Sleep.
Formed in Ravenna in 2010, Void of Sleep have earned acclaim for their adventurous blend of sludgy doom heaviness, psychedelic textures, and progressive complexity across records such as Tales Between Reality and Madness (2013), New World Order (2015), and Metaphora (2018). Now expanded with synthesizers woven into the songwriting process for the first time, the new album is described by the band as a soundtrack to the decline of a narcissistic, self-centered society.
Fans can stream the first single, Omens of Nothingness, now via Aural Music’s Bandcamp and preorder the album in digital and physical formats. A teaser video is also available on Void of Sleep’s official YouTube channel.
