A KILLER’S CONFESSION release new single “Meat Hook” ahead of Victim 3 album

A KILLER’S CONFESSION, the alternative metal band fronted by former MUSHROOMHEAD vocalist Waylon Reavis, have released their new single, “Meat Hook,” from their upcoming sixth studio album, Victim 3, scheduled for release on November 13, 2026, through MNRK Heavy. The band will also embark on a North American headlining tour beginning November 4.

Built around heavy guitar riffs, aggressive grooves, and Reavis’ distinctive vocal delivery, “Meat Hook” explores themes of self-acceptance and personal identity. The song addresses the importance of acknowledging both the positive and negative aspects of one’s character rather than conforming to outside expectations.

Reavis commented on the new track:

“Meat Hook is possibly my favorite song on the album. It is a confrontational anthem. It is finding acceptance on who you truly are good or bad and living up to it. Know thy self only then will you be truly free.”

The single follows the previously released “Roses,” which examines the pursuit of external validation, and the band’s interpretation of THE WEEKND‘s “Blinding Lights.” All three tracks appear on Victim 3, the concluding chapter of the band’s conceptual trilogy.

Following the narratives established in Victim 1 and Victim 2, the upcoming album brings the story of a vigilante serial killer to its conclusion. The central character, whose pursuit of justice gradually transformed into violence and self-destruction, now faces the consequences of his actions while awaiting execution on death row.

Recorded in Nashville and Denver, Victim 3 was developed by Reavis alongside Evan McKeever and Dusty Boles. The album incorporates heavy guitar arrangements, electronic textures, atmospheric passages, and melodic elements to support its darker narrative.

Speaking about the larger concept behind the trilogy, Reavis explained:

“This is an art project of storytelling and madness. It’s a collection of stories from different individuals in separate time periods with their own agendas. For me, it’s a big passion project. It’s closer to my heart than anything I’ve ever done.”

The record’s eleven tracks follow the protagonist through the final stages of his story, from the aggression of “The One” and “Meat Hook” to the closing track, “Worth Saving.”
