Alestorm Releases “Frozen Piss 2” Single and Video from Upcoming Album The Thunderfist Chronicles

Scottish pirate metal legends Alestorm have dropped their new single “Frozen Piss 2,” along with an official music video, as the first teaser of their eighth studio album, The Thunderfist Chronicles, set for release on June 20, 2025, via Napalm Records. The track, which hit the Napalm Records YouTube channel today, delivers the band’s signature mix of speedy riffs, pub-ready chants, and keytar-fueled chaos, all wrapped in their absurd pirate humor. Fans can pre-order the album at lnk.to/Alestorm-TheThunderfistChronicles.

Frontman Christopher Bowes describes “Frozen Piss 2” as the opening chapter of a trilogy within the album, alongside “The Storm” and “Mega-Supreme Treasure of the Eternal Thunderfist.” He explains, “It’s an epic tale about a cursed treasure born of forgotten Sumerian gods, hidden beneath the streets of Bournemouth… it reveals eldritch knowledge that’ll melt your brain. Enjoy the riffs and the dogs and the fantastic guest vocals from Shiori Sasaki!” The track features a host of guest performers, including Shiori Sasaki on vocals, alongside Ally Storch (violin), Tobias Hain (trumpet/trombone), and Patty Gurdy (hurdy gurdy/vocals), with production by Lasse Lammert at LSD-Studios.

The Thunderfist Chronicles follows Alestorm’s 2022 album Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum, which hit #5 on the U.S. Current Hard Music and Top New Artist Albums charts, and #7 on the German Album chart. The new album promises eight anthems of shanty-driven madness, including a Nekrogoblikon cover (“Goblins Ahoy!”) and a 17-minute epic featuring Sir Russell Allen of Symphony X. It’s available for pre-order in formats like 1LP Gatefold Liquid (limited, Napalm exclusive), 2-CD Mediabook (with live album), and a deluxe wooden box edition.
