Swedish Viking melodic death metal band Amon Amarth, formed in 1992 in Tumba, has released their new single We Rule The Waves along with a music video directed by Pavel Trebukhin of Tre Film. The track, produced by Grammy-nominated Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Arch Enemy), is their first new song in years, featuring galloping riffs and Viking fury. The band, consisting of Johan Hegg (vocals), Olavi Mikkonen (guitar), Johan Söderberg (guitar), Ted Lundström (bass), and Jocke Wallgren (drums), describes the song as “a tribute to the spirit of freedom, brotherhood, and the will to conquer.” Limited-edition merchandise is available at Victorious Merch for US orders and EU store for Europe.
Amon Amarth is currently on The Heaviest Tour of the Summer with Pantera, starting July 15, 2025, in Burgettstown, PA, at The Pavilion at Star Lake, and ending September 13, 2025, in West Palm Beach, FL, at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre.
