Bay Area thrash icons FORBIDDEN continue their long-awaited return with the release of a brand-new single, Mutually Assured Dysfunction, accompanied by a fierce new video. The track follows their summer comeback single Divided By Zero , their first new music in over 15 years.

The band comments:
“‘Mutually Assured Dysfunction’ is our aggressive follow-up to ‘Divided By Zero.’ Like a crack to the skull, it lands hard. It’s about the DNA of endless arguments that people engage in. Sound bites over substance. This rationale is based upon the M.A.D. agreement of Rational Actors: a doctrine that assumes world leaders will be rational and self-preserving. Therefore, they will avoid any actions that would lead to their own country’s demise. This leap of faith leads to the kind of dysfunction that will ultimately lead to our destruction as a species.”
A crack to the skull, in more ways than one.

Formed in 1985, Forbidden quickly rose through the ranks of the Bay Area thrash scene with their debut Forbidden Evil (1988) and the acclaimed follow-up Twisted Into Form (1990). Their comeback has seen them perform festival stages worldwide, leading into a new era of songwriting and recording.
