BLOOD OF ANGELS return with “Minds of the Broken”, a gripping new single that offers the first harrowing glimpse into their upcoming concept album Les Agnst ov Thanatou. Long celebrated for their dynamic fusion of melodic death metal, blackened atmospherics, and thoughtful lyricism, the band continues to push their creative boundaries while maintaining the crushing intensity that has earned them global recognition.
Watch “Minds of the Broken”:
Written during a period of widespread uncertainty and loss, Les Agnst ov Thanatou carries a deep emotional weight. The album explores humanity’s relationship with death—its rituals, its psychological shadows, and the ways grief reshapes the living. Each track examines a different facet of mortality through a blend of orchestral tension, dissonant textures, and blistering heaviness, marking a bold sonic expansion for the band.
“Minds of the Broken”, penned by vocalist Randy Reyes, centers on the internal devastation endured by soldiers returning from the war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. Drawing from the stories of friends who survived the battlefield yet continue to fight its lingering psychological horrors, Reyes channels insomnia, survivor’s guilt, and the relentless echo of fallen comrades. Crushing riffs clash with tense, atmospheric passages that reflect the volatility of a mind still at war. Percussion erupts like sudden flashbacks, while layered melodies stir memories that refuse to fade. Reyes delivers one of his most emotionally raw performances—haunted, furious, and painfully human.
The album was recorded at Underground Studios in Tampa, Florida, engineered by Bob Noxious, whose punk-rooted sensibilities brought a sharpened edge to the sessions. Mixing was handled by Preston DiCarlo at Mastersound Studios, with mastering completed at Soundlab Studios in New York City, giving the final product a powerful and immersive sonic profile.
“Minds of the Broken” stands as one of the most emotionally charged moments on Les Agnst ov Thanatou, a stark reminder that some battles never end when the guns fall silent. BLOOD OF ANGELS invite listeners to confront the darkest corners of the human experience and emerge changed.

Les Agnst ov Thanatou is set for release in the summer of 2026.
