UK glam rock artist BOBBIE DAZZLE has announced her sophomore album, Star Power, set for release on October 2 via Rise Above Records.
The new 11-track record follows her 2024 debut, Fandabidozi, and sees BOBBIE DAZZLE expanding her colorful, theatrical take on classic glam rock with a little more grit and bite. The album was predominantly written by BOBBIE and keyboardist Chris Dando and recorded in the same studio as its predecessor.
Since releasing Fandabidozi, BOBBIE DAZZLE — the alter ego of singer, songwriter, flautist and producer Siân Greenaway — has shared stages with Alice Cooper, Sweet, Lita Ford and Thunder’s Luke Morley, while also appearing at London’s Hyde Park with Jeff Lynne’s ELO.
Star Power features several notable collaborations, including former Runaways guitarist Lita Ford, who contributes a guitar solo to closing track “Feel It Too.” Pendulum’s Gareth McGrillen co-wrote and plays bass on “Snakes & Ladders,” bringing an unexpected connection between BOBBIE’s glam rock sound and McGrillen’s drum & bass background.
The album also features contributions from guitarist Ash Baker and bassist Leon Smith, both members of BOBBIE DAZZLE’s live band, while Dando once again plays a major role in shaping the record through his stacked vocal harmonies.
Musically, Star Power draws from classic rock, glam and progressive rock while retaining BOBBIE’s signature flute playing and theatrical approach. The opening title track picks up where Fandabidozi left off, while songs such as “Jack Rabbit” lean into the elaborate arrangements that have become part of her distinctive sound.
At its heart, Star Power is centered around joy, escapism and the ability of music to provide a colorful refuge from everyday life.
