Swedish heavy metal band BULLET are back, and they’re firing on all cylinders. Seven years after their last studio effort Dust to Gold (2018), the band roars into 2026 with their brand-new album Kickstarter, set for release on January 9 via Steamhammer.

Formed in 2001, Bullet, featuring Dag “Hell” Hofer (vocals), Hampus Klang (guitar), Gustav Hector (bass), Gustav Hjortsjö (drums), and new guitarist Freddie Johansson, have always embodied the essence of late-’70s and early-’80s heavy metal. Raw, powerful, and unrelenting, their sound channels the grit and glory of classic metal through a modern lens.
After nearly a quarter-century of keeping the flame alive, Kickstarter arrives as both a nod to their legacy and a statement of endurance. The album was born in true Bullet fashion — forged from adversity and fueled by unwavering determination.
Following a grueling tour that left their iconic tour bus in ruins after an engine explosion, the band refused to let the setback slow them down. Instead, they rebuilt both their machine and their momentum, emerging stronger than ever.
“The first choice of single release for the album kinda explains itself,” the band shares. “Ben presented the idea of a song that would later become Kickstarter during his time in the band. As the album came together, it became the obvious first choice for opening song, first single, and title track. As soon as you hear that first snare hit and the bulldozer of a guitar riff, you’ll know why!”
