South Florida teen metal band CHAINED SAINT have announced their new five-song EP, Rise To Fall, arriving October 9 across all digital platforms. Alongside the announcement, the band has released a lyric video for new single “Snakeskin.”
Comprised of guitarist Ethan Kahn, bassist Sebastian De Avila, drummer Cameron Cottrell and vocalist Sean Sterling, CHAINED SAINT self-produced Rise To Fall alongside Rob Roy at Power Station Studios. The new material pushes the band’s combination of thrash, hardcore and groove further while retaining the classic metal foundation established on their debut album, Blindside. Kahn also hand-drew the EP’s cover artwork.
“‘Snakeskin’ feels like the beginning of the next chapter for Chained Saint,” the band says. “We’ve grown a lot since Blindside, as musicians, as songwriters, and especially from being out on the road and playing these songs in front of people.”
The band says that evolution has made defining their sound increasingly difficult.
“There’s thrash, hardcore, and groove all living in the same place, and that combination has become a much bigger part of who we are as a band,” they explain. “The new EP is heavier, more aggressive and more focused, while still keeping the classic metal foundation that’s always been part of who we are. ‘Snakeskin’ is the first real look at that evolution and where Chained Saint is headed next.”

The announcement follows CHAINED SAINT’s first European run, where they spent July and August supporting Slaughter to Prevail. The connection between the bands began at Louder Than Life in 2025 after severe weather forced the cancellation of CHAINED SAINT’s performance. Slaughter to Prevail subsequently invited Sterling onstage to perform with them.
CHAINED SAINT will return to Louder Than Life in Louisville on September 17.
Formed in a South Florida garage in 2022, CHAINED SAINT released their debut album, Blindside, through independent label Patriark Records. Produced by Alice In Chains vocalist and guitarist William DuVall, the eight-song record was recorded and mixed entirely to analog tape.
Since then, the young band has continued building momentum with appearances at Warped Tour, Welcome to Rockville and Sick New World. Their debut single “Animosity” was used as the theme for the WWE 2K24 DLC 4 trailer, while “1000 Tons” appeared during UFC broadcasts in summer 2025.
