South Florida teen metal band CHAINED SAINT have unleashed the official video for their furious new track “Punk,” offering another taste of the band’s upcoming Rise to Fall EP, due October 9 across all digital streaming platforms.
Comprised of Ethan Kahn on guitar, Sebastian De Avila on bass, Cameron Cottrell on drums, and Sean Sterling on vocals, CHAINED SAINT continue to blend old-school thrash aggression with a strong punk influence. The five-song Rise to Fall was self-produced by the band alongside Rob Roy at Power Station Studios, with Kahn also creating the EP’s hand-drawn cover artwork.
The release of “Punk” follows the band’s appearance at Louder Than Life in Louisville. Clocking in at just 1:52, the track is a short, relentless attack aimed squarely at fake attitudes and people whose actions fail to match their words.
“We all know a punk in our lives,” the band explains. “That person who talks big, plays fake, and eventually shows you exactly who they are. ‘Punk’ is about that person, and yeah, this one’s personal. The song is fast, ferocious, and over in 1:52 because that pace matches the anger and intensity behind it. It breaks them down and spits them out like the punk they are.”

Formed in a South Florida garage during the summer of 2022, CHAINED SAINT quickly began attracting attention for a sound rooted in the raw riffing and energy of classic ’80s thrash while incorporating a heavier modern edge.
Their debut album, Blindside, was released through independent label Patriark Records and produced by Alice In Chains vocalist and guitarist William DuVall. The eight-song record was recorded and mixed to analog tape without computers during the recording sessions, emphasizing the band’s commitment to an organic, performance-driven approach.
Since their emergence, CHAINED SAINT have received attention from outlets including The New York Times, Revolver, Guitar World, Loudwire, Metal Injection, Rock Feed, and Miami New Times, as well as recognition from Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford. SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal has also added the band to its playlist.
Their music has extended beyond the metal scene as well. Debut single “Animosity” was used as the theme for the WWE 2K24 DLC 4 trailer, while “1000 Tons” appeared during UFC broadcasts in the summer of 2025. Earlier this year, the band partnered with Affliction on a merchandise collection.
Onstage, CHAINED SAINT have continued expanding their profile with appearances at festivals including Warped Tour, Welcome to Rockville, Sick New World, and most recently Louder Than Life.
With “Punk” now out and Rise to Fall arriving October 9, CHAINED SAINT are continuing to build on the momentum of Blindside while pushing their mix of punk urgency and thrash metal further forward.
