British extreme metal legends Cradle of Filth have released the official music video for “Demagoguery,” a track from their 14th studio album The Screaming of the Valkyries, out now via Napalm Records as of March 21, 2025. Launched today, June 3, 2025, the video, directed by Shaun Hodson, presents a chilling narrative where “Subject Eleven, a marionette puppet, is controlled by the media, government, and television,” her strings pulled by unseen forces leading to the rise of a deceptive world leader and the Antichrist. The song itself merges dark beauty, blast beats, and a slaytanic groove, showcasing the band’s signature style.

The release coincides with the start of their UK/European headline tour, “Summoned in Summer,” featuring support from labelmates Nervosa on select dates. The tour begins June 6 at Mystic Festival in Gdansk, Poland, and runs through July 24 at Tolminator Festival in Tolmin, Slovenia, with stops including Download Festival in Donnington, England, on June 14, and Tuska Festival in Helsinki, Finland, on June 27. Key dates also include June 11 in Salzburg, Austria, at Rockhouse (noted as nearly sold out), and July 19 in Munich, Germany, at Backstage.

The Screaming of the Valkyries, produced by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England, debuted at #2 on US and Canadian Hard Music Albums charts and #4 on the US Current Rock Albums chart. The album features Dani Filth (vocals), Marek “Ashok” Smerda (guitars), Martin “Marthus” Skaroupka (drums), Daniel Firth (bass), Donny Burbage (guitars), and Zoe Federoff (vocals, keys). It’s available in formats like 1-LP Gatefold Black/Red Ink Spot (limited to 500) and 1-CD Digisleeve, with bundles including quills and coasters. Order at napalmrecordsamerica.com/cradleoffilth.
