UK goth-punk band Creeper have launched their next chapter with the release of their ferocious new single, “Headstones,” the first taste of their forthcoming album Sanguivore II: Mistress of Death, set to arrive this Halloween season via Spinefarm Records. The band unveiled the track and its video following a sold-out performance of their acclaimed 2023 album Sanguivore at London’s KOKO on May 30, 2025, where they introduced a new character, the Mistress of Death, via a vampiric horror short film.

Watch the “Headstones” video:

Produced by Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Rammstein, The Damned), “Headstones” erupts with thrash-inspired riffs and punk rhythms, building into an arena-sized hook. The track features dueling Judas Priest-style guitar solos from Ian Miles and Lawrie Pattison, paired with Hannah Hermione’s gothic-gospel harmonies. Lyrically, it dives into Creeper’s vampire mythology, with frontman William Von Ghould delivering playful yet sinister innuendos, crafting what could be one of the greatest vampire anthems ever.

Von Ghould explains: “Set in a blood-drenched vision of the 1980s, ‘Headstones’ follows a vampire rock band on a tour soaked in violence and excess. It features some of our heaviest and most theatrical guitar work yet, echoing Iron Maiden. Lyrically, it explores the dark perils of rock ‘n’ roll, sins of the flesh, and pure evil. This is the band at its most over-the-top and unashamedly dramatic.”

The video captures Creeper’s electrifying live energy, with Von Ghould commanding the stage amid pyrotechnics and chaotic performances, hinting at their festival-headlining potential.

Following the critical success of 2023’s Sanguivore, hailed as “the most irresistibly anthemic, fabulously style dark rock opera” by Louder’s Merlin Alderslade, Sanguivore II: Mistress of Death promises to continue the band’s theatrical vampire narrative. The album, also produced by Dalgety, builds on the gothic rock and punk influences of its predecessor, with no confirmed release date but a teased arrival this Halloween.

Creeper’s 2025 includes major festival appearances at Bloodstock (August 9, main stage), Rock am Park/Rock im Ring, and Graspop Metal Meeting. They’ll also join Ice Nine Kills and The Devil Wears Prada on a UK/European arena tour, culminating at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on December 12. Full tour dates are available at creepercult.com.
