Oxnard, California crossover thrash band Dead Heat will unleash their new full-length, Process of Elimination, on October 10th, 2025 through Metal Blade Records. The album follows their 2023 EP Endless Torment and sees the band leaning further into their metallic side while retaining their hardcore roots.

The record was produced alongside Paul Fig (Deftones, Trivium, Jerry Cantrell) and blends influences from Slayer, Sepultura, Dark Angel, and Demolition Hammer with hardcore touchstones like Leeway and Cro-Mags. Lyrically, the band tackles political corruption, social injustice, and personal urgency, with vocalist Chris Ramos emphasizing themes of action over hesitation.

First single “Perpetual Punishment” opens the record with a melodic intro before launching into aggressive thrash. The track’s message: seize the day because tomorrow isn’t promised. Listen here.
