Heavy metal veterans Dirkschneider & The Old Gang (DATOG) have dropped their third single, “Hellbreaker,” on June 6, 2025, via Reigning Phoenix Music, offering another preview of their debut album, Babylon, set for release in October 2025.
The band, featuring former Accept members Udo Dirkschneider (vocals), Peter Baltes (bass, vocals), and Stefan Kaufmann (guitar), alongside Mathias “Don” Dieth (guitar; Sinner, U.D.O.), Sven Dirkschneider (drums; U.D.O.), and powerhouse vocalist Manuela “Ella” Bibert, showcases their signature sound. The band comments: “Udo growls and screams like there’s no tomorrow, while Manuela’s solo vocals put the icing on the cake. Mathias’ unorthodox solo guitar work is a real treat for guitar freaks.”

Originally launched in 2020 as a charity project to support artists during the COVID-19 lockdown, DATOG evolved into a full-fledged band after their initial singles—“Where The Angels Fly,” “Face Of A Stranger,” and “Every Heart Is Burning”—amassed over 23 million streams. Their 2021 charity EP Arising set the stage for Babylon, which blends classic heavy metal with modern production and a unique three-vocalist approach. Previous 2025 singles include “It Takes Two To Tango” (April) and “Time To Listen” (May), both highlighting the band’s dynamic vocal interplay and riff-heavy style.

While no tour dates are confirmed, their festival appearances at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park (June 2025) signal a big year ahead.
