German power metal legends Helloween have unveiled the cover art for their highly anticipated album, Giants & Monsters, set for release on August 29, 2025, via Reigning Phoenix Music. The vibrant artwork, painted by acclaimed artist Eliran Kantor, captures the album’s essence with a dynamic and symbolic design.
Kantor, who also created the cover for Helloween’s 2021 self-titled album, shares: “With the previous album cover giving the spotlight to the Keeper, I wanted this one to allow Jack O’ to get the focus. With uplifting lyrics about mankind’s positive inner potential, Jack O’ manifests an everflowing fountain of water ushering a flood that’s drowning the monsters. The style of the painting itself is a tip of the hat to the video games I grew up on, those were the superheroes that had an impact on me, and I still reach out to those playful instincts when approaching creativity.”
The artwork features Helloween’s iconic Jack O’ Lantern in a triumphant pose, symbolizing hope and resilience, with a nod to retro video game aesthetics. Fans are invited to explore the cover for hidden details, as teased by the band on social media.
The album, recorded in summer 2024 and mixed by Dennis Ward, follows the success of 2021’s Helloween, which hit #1 in multiple countries. Featuring the reunited “Pumpkins United” lineup—vocalists Andi Deris and Michael Kiske, guitarists Michael Weikath, Kai Hansen, and Sascha Gerstner, bassist Markus Grosskopf, and drummer Dani Löble—Giants & Monsters promises a mix of soaring riffs, epic solos, and catchy choruses.
