Finnish cinematic power metal newcomers Dragonknight have released a new official visualizer for “Waltz Of The Dead Kings”, a track originally issued as a Japan-only bonus cut on their acclaimed 2025 debut album Legions. The video is now available to watch and brings new life to one of the record’s most evocative anthems.

Inspired by the striking wooden Dragonknight sign crafted by artist Petja Hänninen, the visualizer leans fully into the band’s mythic aesthetic—echoing ancient chants carried through taverns, halls, and battlefields long after the fall of forgotten kings. Framed as a bard’s retelling of a centuries-old legend, “Waltz Of The Dead Kings” feels like a ceremonial hymn passed down through generations of warriors, now finally reaching audiences beyond its original Japan-exclusive release.

Order Legions via Scarlet Records

Dragonknight’s debut album Legions introduced the band as a fully realized conceptual force, with each track unfolding as a chapter in a sweeping saga of dragonlords, heroic battles, doomed conquests, and glorious death. Rooted in classic Northern European power metal, the album blends soaring melodies, epic orchestration, thunderous rhythms, and crushing riffs into a cinematic listening experience. The record was produced by Dragonknight themselves, mixed by Mikael Grönroos at Crownhook Studio, and mastered by Svante Forsbäck at Chartmakers West.

Comprised of seasoned Finnish metal veterans operating under mythic aliases, Dragonknight channel the spirit of genre titans such as Blind Guardian, Helloween, Sabaton, Gloryhammer, and Twilight Force while forging a sound that feels both reverent and fresh. With Legions now available worldwide on CD, vinyl, and digital formats, the band has confirmed they are currently at work on their second studio album for Scarlet Records.

For those ready to heed the call—raise your cup, join the chant, and prepare to die for metal.
