Edge of Paradise Unveil Cinematic Cover of “Requiem for a Dream” – Original Theme by Clint Mansell (Lux Aeterna)

International cinematic rock band Edge of Paradise have released a monumental reimagining of Clint Mansell’s haunting Requiem for a Dream theme. The band transforms the iconic score into an epic soundscape that bridges the worlds of film and metal.

Watch “Requiem for a Dream”:

Following the success of their latest album Prophecy (Napalm Records), Edge of Paradise expand their ever-growing multimedia universe with a visually stunning music video accompanying the new single. The performance-driven short film captures the band’s signature aesthetic, fusing emotion, storytelling, and atmosphere into a darkly beautiful cinematic experience.

“This theme has always resonated deep within and inspired me to see how a simple melody can open entire worlds,” shares vocalist Margarita Monet. “With our version, we wanted to amplify that emotion — the darkness, the light, and everything in between — and we’re excited to experience it with you through our dimension, on the stages and beyond.”

The single’s artwork, painted by Margarita herself, was unveiled at NoHo CineFest in Hollywood, where she received the Outstanding Artist Award for her contributions to visual storytelling. Her artwork and ongoing graphic novel form part of Edge of Paradise’s expanding creative universe, tying together the band’s music, visual art, and narrative world-building.

Adding to their cinematic momentum, Edge of Paradise’s track “The Unknown” will appear in the upcoming feature film The Complete Course of Howard French, directed by Gustavo Sampaio, further merging the band’s musical and visual artistry.

“What makes this so special is how everything I love intertwines,” adds Margarita. “From painting the cover and crafting the crown to shaping the story through dance and direction, every moment reflects a piece of my soul.”

After a whirlwind year touring across North America and Europe in support of Prophecy, Edge of Paradise are set to hit the road again, this time joining Love Bites for a run of U.S. dates this fall.
