American alternative metal/industrial duo ESOTERIK have officially entered a bold new era with the release of their new single, “Cycles,” the first of their forthcoming full-length album, Nü Skin.
“Cycles” showcases the band’s evolution into a fusion of grunge metal, industrial precision, and nu-metal genres. While embracing a heavier and more visceral sound, the track still retains the melodic craftsmanship longtime fans have come to expect from the duo.
The accompanying video for “Cycles” is available now.
Formed in 2013 by vocalist Allison Eckfeldt and multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Brady Bledsoe, ESOTERIK have steadily built a reputation within the industrial and alternative underground through relentless touring across the U.S. and Europe alongside acts including Combichrist, Priest, Grendel, and Pig.
The band also saw major momentum in 2024 when their single “Trickster” broke into the Top 10 of the Deutsche Alternative Charts.
Speaking on the direction behind Nü Skin, the band explains:
“We wanted to do something different on this next album and go back to the roots of what got us interested in picking up an instrument back in the ’90s. It’s been a breath of fresh air, and the shift feels quite natural for us. It’s a big evolution, and we’re excited to bring that energy into our live show both visually and sonically.”
The title Nü Skin serves as a nostalgic callback to the late-’90s and early-2000s era of chaotic mosh pits, oversized riffs, and unfiltered energy. With additional singles planned ahead of the album’s release, ESOTERIK are positioning themselves as a fresh force in the modern heavy music landscape.
