Danish power thrash band Exelerate, formed prior to 2023 in Copenhagen, has announced their sophomore album Hell For The Helpless, set for release on September 12, 2025, via From The Vaults. The lead single Impending Doom, backed by a furious video, blends Megadeth’s razor-sharp intensity, Dio’s anthemic weight, and Flotsam And Jetsam’s technical firepower, exploring the crippling fear of death with brutal honesty: “Seize the day, live your life, and stop panicking over what you can’t change,” says the band. The concept album, delving into mental health struggles like anxiety and depression, features ten tracks of soaring vocals, whirlwind solos, and pounding rhythms. Recorded by Io Brix Klarstrup, mixed/mastered by Marco Angioni (Tygers Of Pan Tang), and adorned with trippy artwork by Steen Jensen, it’s their most ambitious work yet. Pre-order on CD or limited purple vinyl (150 copies) at bit.ly/exe-tgt. Exelerate—Mads Sørensen (guitars), Stefan Jensen (vocals, guitars), Io Brix Klarstrup (bass), and Stig Eilsøe-Madsen (drums)—will tour Denmark in fall 2025.
