French hard psych/prog rock duo Moundrag has announced their sophomore album DEUX, set for release on October 17, 2025, via Spinda Records (LP/CD) and Stolen Body Records (LP). The new single Morning Epitaph, with a dreamlike video directed by Maureen Piercy, weaves soaring vocal harmonies, haunting melodies, and an upbeat groove, evoking King Crimson and Genesis with modern dynamics. The band describes it as approaching “death in a dreamlike manner,” telling the story of a man “asleep yet awake” facing Death in an imaginary world.

The earlier single The Caveman is also available. DEUX, featuring brothers Camille Goellaen Duvivier (organ, vocals) and Colin Goellaen Duvivier (drums, vocals), blends 1970s influences like Deep Purple and Emerson, Lake & Palmer with modern acts like Motorpsycho, delivering a manifesto against archaic norms through dystopian and Celtic-inspired lyrics. The cover art, a surrealist painting by Justyna Kozikzak, reflects Dante’s The Divine Comedy.
