German melodic death-doom metal band Nailed To Obscurity, formed in 2005 in Esens, has announced their fifth studio album Generation Of The Void, set for release on September 5, 2025, via Nuclear Blast Records.
The band unveiled a video for the title track Generation Of The Void, featuring an epic chorus unlike anything in their previous work, reflecting a potent message about societal disconnection. They comment, “‘Generation Of The Void’ is a mirror held up to a world that feels increasingly disconnected. We tried to capture the overwhelming sense of unease that defines our time, but also the inner battles we all face.” The album, their most mature and expansive to date, addresses post-pandemic turmoil, war in Europe, and personal struggles with dark emotions, depression, and fear, with every lyric carrying uncertainty and disillusionment.

Nailed To Obscurity will celebrate their 20th anniversary with their first European headline tour in autumn 2025, joined by Yoth Iria (Greece) and Oak, Ash & Thorn (US).
