Bay Area thrash legends Exodus return in full force with their third single, “Promise You This”, the final strike ahead of their upcoming twelfth studio album, Goliath, arriving March 20, 2026 via Napalm Records.

Fueled by cyclonic riffing, ferocious momentum, and lead work, the track stands as a definitive statement of the band’s enduring dominance. Anchored by the unmistakable guitar assault of Gary Holt and sharpened by the commanding return of Rob Dukes, “Promise You This” captures Exodus at their most direct and devastating, raw, aggressive, and unrelenting.

Thrash Without Compromise

More than four decades since their formation, Exodus continue to operate with a refusal to dilute their identity. “Promise You This” embodies that ethos, drawing inspiration from hard-earned life lessons and delivered with unmistakable conviction.

The result is a track that doesn’t just hit hard—it demands impact, primed for chaos both on record and in the pit.

Goliath: A Colossal Statement

With Goliath, Exodus deliver one of the most expansive and collaborative records of their career. The album surges forward with a sense of urgency, blending classic thrash with broader dynamics and unexpected textures.

From the ominous opening of “3111” to the crushing weight of “Hostis Humani Generis,” the record wastes no time asserting its scale. Tracks like “The Changing Me” introduce melodic tension and layered vocal interplay, while “Promise You This” detonates with pure, mosh-inducing aggression.

Elsewhere, songs like “Beyond The Event Horizon” and “2 Minutes Hate” reinforce the band’s signature thrash theatricality, while the near eight-minute “Summon Of The God Unknown” expands into darker, more epic territory. Closing track “The Dirtiest Of The Dozen” ties everything together in a whirlwind of technical precision and unrestrained energy.

Crafted for Maximum Impact

Produced by Exodus and mixed/mastered by Mark Lewis, Goliath carries a modern clarity without sacrificing the band’s raw edge—a balance that has defined their evolution since the landmark release of Bonded by Blood.

The album also features notable collaborations, including appearances from Peter Tägtgren and violinist Katie Jacoby, adding new dimensions to Exodus’ already formidable sound.

The Monster Unleashed

Exodus describe Goliath as one of their proudest and most band-driven efforts, emphasizing a deeply collaborative writing process and a renewed creative fire. The album doesn’t just revisit their legacy, it reasserts it with authority.

With “Promise You This”, Exodus make it clear: there is no nostalgia act here, only a band still pushing forward, still evolving, and still delivering thrash at its most unyielding and explosive.
