Fast-Rising Mongolian band UUHAI Release Enticing Third Single “Secret History of the Mongols”

As the release of their debut album draws near, fast-rising Mongolian band UUHAI unveil their compelling third single, “Secret History of the Mongols”, alongside an official music video.

Watch the video here:

Named after the oldest surviving literary work in the Mongolic language, dating back to the late 1220s and chronicling the life and conquests of Genghis Khan, “Secret History of the Mongols” showcases UUHAI’s signature fusion of traditional Mongolian music and modern rock power. The track seduces with a richly atmospheric build, contrasting an emotional guitar solo with goosebump-inducing “uuhai” chants, an ancient battle cry for good fortune, ultimately invoking a sense of unity and a collectively bright future.

UUHAI comment on the new single:

“This history is a sacred flame, consecrated by Father Heaven and Mother Earth. It is the undaunted gallop of ambition, the wisdom of our ancestors, and the everlasting scripture of the Mongol people.”

The single appears on UUHAI’s highly anticipated debut album Human Herds, out Friday, January 9, 2026 via Napalm Records. Pre-orders are available here:

Amplifying the visceral blend of throat singing, horsehead fiddles, and heavy rock, Human Herds delivers a captivating sonic portrait of the Mongolian steppe. Following early singles that amassed millions of video views, the seven-piece band presents an album deeply rooted in Mongolia’s imposing history and awe-inspiring nature, while also reflecting on modern society. Sung entirely in Mongolian, Human Herds is both a heartfelt love letter to the band’s homeland and a universal message about humanity’s shared existence on a fragile planet.

UUHAI elaborate on the album’s concept:

“Human Herds is a reflection on the unstoppable tide of humanity—our migrations, our revolts, our worship, and our wounds upon the Earth. Yet in our chaos, we must remember: we all live under one sun and one moon on Earth, sharing the same fragile home.”

From the atmospheric opening “Beginning” into the galloping title track “Human Herds”, the album journeys through themes of nature, heritage, and collective responsibility. Tracks like “Uuhai” and “Khar Khulz” balance ritualistic intimacy with anthemic hard rock hooks, while “Secret History of the Mongols” closes the record with evocative storytelling, soaring melodies, and triumphant chants that linger long after the final note.

Coinciding with the album’s release, UUHAI will hit the road across Europe as part of the Motocultor Festival “Across Europe” Tour, supporting label mates Nanowar Of Steel, giving fans the chance to experience their powerful chants and immersive sound live.
