GLORYHAMMER Unleash Epic New Single “Warriors of Auchtermuchty”

Power metallers GLORYHAMMER continue their intergalactic campaign with the release of their new single, “Warriors of Auchtermuchty,” taken from the band’s forthcoming fifth studio album, Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath, due October 16, 2026 via Napalm Records.

Set in the hometown of GLORYHAMMER’s infamous antagonist Zargothrax, “Warriors of Auchtermuchty” turns its attention to the battle-hardened warriors who pledge their allegiance to their emperor. Driven by massive choirs, infectious melodies and a sing-along power metal chorus, the track pushes the band’s ever-expanding fantasy universe toward its next confrontation.

The band comments:

“GLORYHAMMER have been awarded the world record for using the word ‘Auchtermuchy’ the most times in a song. We hope you like saying it as much as we do.”

Watch the live video for “Warriors of Auchtermuchty”:

The upcoming Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath serves as a direct sequel to 2015’s Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards, continuing the sprawling saga of the McFife dynasty.

This time, the story follows Angus McFife V, Crown Prince of Fife, who was last encountered in the band’s 2022 single “Fly Away.” His latest adventure sends him across spacetime and into the distant future of 1993, where another battle for the fate of the galaxy awaits.

Across its 11 tracks, Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath sees GLORYHAMMER expanding their musical arsenal beyond their trademark power metal sound, incorporating elements of thrash, high-energy synth rock and sweeping orchestral arrangements while retaining the massive hooks and theatrical storytelling at the heart of the band.

The album was produced by GLORYHAMMER and mixed by Jacob Hansen, whose credits include Volbeat and Amaranthe.

GLORYHAMMER states:

“Mighty warriors, rejoice! The almighty GLORYHAMMER return triumphantly with a new chapter in the long and tumultuous history of the Intergalactic Empire of Fife. Multidimensional wormholes, abandoned space stations, and EPIC BATTLES await at the final frontier of Space 1993. FOR THE ETERNAL GLORY OF DUNDEE!”
