HAGZISSA Set Release Date for New IRON BONEHEAD EP, Reveal First Track

After six long years shrouded in silence, Austria’s HAGZISSA rise once again from the borderlands between worlds. Iron Bonehead Productions has set December 19th as the international release date for the band’s long-awaited return, the brand-new EP Revelry of a Maltreated Jade, arriving on CD and 12” vinyl formats.

Since their acclaimed debut They Ride Along, HAGZISSA have existed in a space between nightmare and ritual, an obscure entity of black metal mysticism that defies easy categorization. Now, with Revelry of a Maltreated Jade, the coven returns transformed yet unmistakably themselves: eerie, archaic, and driven by a spectral energy that feels both ancient and otherworldly.

This new four-song offering marks a significant transition for the band, it is the final recording featuring A White Pawn (Kringa, Weathered Crest) and the first with V. Adalbert II (Sněť, Bahratal). Together, this incarnation conjures an unholy storm of “olde-worlde black METAL” infused with Iron Curtain heavy metal magick, weaving something simultaneously more primal and strangely refined.

Where They Ride Along invoked haunted visions of folklore and fevered wilderness, Revelry of a Maltreated Jade carries that torch further into the void: intensities are tamed, only to be unleashed again in flashes of savage transcendence. The result is both more approachable and more alien, a spell that beckons the listener deeper into the labyrinth.

“So passes the glory of the world and dives deep into another plane. Can’t you hear their flutes and horns and whispers? So come, then, and join in boisterous battue!”
