As the seventh seal is opened, Knoxville death metal duo PRIMAL SCOURGE unleash End of Eden, an apocalyptic debut album that soundtracks the downfall of existence itself. The record arrives November 14th via Iron Fortress Records, available on digital, CD, and cassette.
The first single, “Cavalry of the Damned”, is streaming now, a harbinger of the devastation to come, blending relentless death metal fury with moments of colossal doom-laden weight.
From the opening descent of “Abyssal Imprisonment” to the closing devastation of “Graveborn”, End of Eden channels the cataclysm through nine tracks of crushing intensity. Frenzied tremolo riffs and blast-beaten chaos crash against massive mid-tempo passages, like tectonic plates grinding beneath a dying sun. The result is a sound that feels biblical in scale and utterly unstoppable.
Formed by lifelong collaborators Austin Asmus (guitar, bass, vocals) and Rio Mariucci (drums, vocals), PRIMAL SCOURGE was forged in Knoxville, Tennessee, as a culmination of years spent refining their shared vision of death metal, raw, massive, and unrepentant.
End of Eden was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Dalton Skinner at Anchor Sound, with evocative cover art by Adam Burke (Nightjar Illustration), logo by @casketnap, and photography by Jenna Detiveaux.
