Heaven Shall Burn Releases “Empowerment” Video from Upcoming Album Heimat

German melodic death metal/metalcore band Heaven Shall Burn has unveiled their new single and video “Empowerment,” released yesterday, May 20, 2025. The track is the third single from their upcoming tenth studio album Heimat, set to drop on June 27, 2025, via Century Media Records. Directed by Giacomo Giorgi, the video captures the band’s recent South American tour, blending live footage with personal fan interactions. The song itself is an anthem of self-empowerment and solidarity, urging listeners to channel anger into positive action. The band stated, “With this song, we want to make it clear that anger and aggression… should not lead to pointless discussions… It is much more important to gather your strength and transform your energy into a positive and progressive drive that can motivate others to join in and make a difference!”

Heimat, meaning “home/homeland” in German, explores a broader sense of the term, reflecting on both physical and spiritual homelands. The 13-track album, produced at the band’s The Dude Ranch studio by guitarist Alexander Dietz and mixed/mastered by Tue Madsen, features guest appearances from Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage) on “Numbered Days,” Donots on “Keinen Schritt zurück,” and Dÿse on “Schweineherbst.” A bonus EP, Keinen Schritt zurück, with four additional tracks, will accompany select pre-orders, along with a Blu-ray of their 2024 Summer Breeze set. The artwork, a symbolic triptych by Eliran Kantor, centers on a rearing stag as an allegory of resistance, flanked by a lynx and owl. Pre-order here.

Heaven Shall Burn—Marcus Bischoff (vocals), Maik Weichert (guitar), Alexander Dietz (guitar), Eric Bischoff (bass), and Christian Bass (drums)—will perform at European festivals like Rock am Ring (June 6) and Impericon Festival (June 27), alongside exclusive club shows.
