Portland’s dark-rock trio HOAXED return with the announcement of their sophomore full-length, Death Knocks, arriving February 13, 2026 via Relapse Records. Three years in the making, the album marks a sharpened evolution for the band, now featuring Kat Keo (vocals/guitar), Kim Coffel (drums), and new bassist/vocalist April Dimmick.
To celebrate, HOAXED have unveiled the record’s opening track and lead single, “Where the Seas Fall Silent”, accompanied by a haunting new music video.

The band adds:
“April comes from a classic heavy metal background, and her influence is in these songs. Touring also shaped this album — we learned from the bands we traveled with, and after three years of playing together, our sound evolved naturally. Writing the album felt like a continuation, not a departure.”
From the spellbinding opener “Where the Seas Fall Silent” to the gritty pulse of “Kill Switch” and the shadowy power-pop sway of “The Family”, HOAXED elevate their sound with sharpened edges and deeper metallic roots.
Dimmick’s rasp adds new bite, while Keo’s siren-like vocals glide between delicacy and force, their angel-and-demon dynamic shaping the album’s brooding, cinematic scope.
Cyclical riffs, weighty bass, and dynamic rhythms drive Death Knocks through its dusky, hard-rocked atmosphere, a collection built on chemistry, identity, and the band’s unmistakable twilight aura.
Death Knocks was recorded at Falcon Recording Studios with producer/engineer Gabe Johnston (Unto Others, Vintersea). The album was mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Kreator, + more).
Tracked over eight focused days across February and March, the sessions yielded a polished and powerful record that meets the scale of HOAXED’s dark melodic vision.
