On November 25th, French label Antiq Records will release Hyver’s highly anticipated third album, Shaâtaunoâr, a groundbreaking interactive concept where you become the hero.
Shaâtaunoâr places listeners inside a haunted castle where every choice alters the experience. At each branching path, dungeon synth interludes narrate the story, voiced by Virginie Ropars (English version, acclaimed French sculptress/artist) and David Thiérrée (French version, renowned illustrator and painter). Once you enter a room, the music transforms into a fierce and epic fusion of dungeon synth and black metal, immersing you fully in the perilous atmosphere. Your singular objective: escape the castle alive.
Featuring members of Véhémence, Grylle, Hanternoz, and more, Hyver’s latest opus continues Antiq’s dedication to creating music as a total art form, where sound, image, video, and attitude form one coherent whole. Since 2009, the label has cultivated collaborations with French creators and craftspeople, bringing forth not only sonic journeys but collectible artistic objects of rare beauty.
