French black metallers Hyver unveil a full stream of their highly anticipated third album, Shaâtaunoâr, exclusively via the Black Metal Promotion YouTube channel. Set for international release on November 25th through Antiq, you can hear the entire album here:
Shaâtaunoâr is an ambitious concept album where you are the protagonist. Upon arriving at a mysterious castle, you progress through branching narrative paths, choosing which rooms to explore as you attempt to escape its horrors. Each decision triggers a different musical direction: dungeon synth-driven interludes narrated by either Virginie Ropars (English version) or David Thiérrée (French version), while room encounters erupt into fierce, epic black metal fused with dungeon synth atmospheres.
Featuring members of Véhémence, Grylle, Hanternoz, and more, Hyver craft an immersive experience that blends narrative, visual art, and extreme music into a single interactive journey.
As always, Antiq continues its mission of creating fully cohesive works that unify sound, imagery, storytelling, and craftsmanship, collaborating closely with French creators and independent artistic structures to bring concept-driven releases to life.
