Cleveland, Ohio’s cosmic death metal trio Inoculation dropped their third full-length album, Actuality, on April 18, 2025, via Maggot Stomp. The 10-track record, mixed and mastered by Noah Buchanan with artwork by Lucas Korte, delves into themes of delusion and its consequences—from flawed science to hallucinatory horrors in intergalactic travel. The band, formed in 2011, describes the album as a milestone, written over four years of touring with acts like Sanguisugabogg, Frozen Soul, and Cytotoxin. “We wanted to bring that galactic technicality to our music, while sprinkling in some otherworldly grooves,” they shared, expressing satisfaction with the outcome.
Actuality follows their 2018 debut Pure Cosmic Dread, 2019 EP Anatomize, and 2021’s Celestial Putridity. Inoculation—Anthony Allen (guitar/vocals), Nick Nedley (bass/vocals), and Charlie Winters (drums)—pushes their boundaries with this release, blending technicality and cosmic grooves.
