International power metal project ASTERISE has unveiled its brand-new EP, Twilight Opera, released on January 16, 2026. The four-track, 25-minute EP showcases a more experimental side of the band, blending old-school power metal and rock influences with a modern production approach.

Led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Bartłomiej Mezyński, Twilight Opera revisits the classic spirit of traditional power metal, melodic storytelling, dynamic riffs, while reimagining it through a contemporary lens. The EP explores multiple stylistic directions, ranging from rock-driven arrangements to narrative-focused power metal epics, offering a diverse yet cohesive listening experience.
Mezyński comments:
“With this EP, I wanted to experiment with the old-school side of rock and power metal—to capture that classic spirit but make it sound fresh and relevant today. These songs didn’t quite fit the direction of our upcoming full-length release, but I couldn’t imagine leaving them unreleased. Each track explores a slightly different style, highlighting the diversity of this release. The material represents a more experimental side of ASTERISE while keeping the heart and energy of true power metal.”
The EP also features an impressive lineup of vocalists, each bringing a distinct character to the songs, further emphasizing the variety and emotional depth of the release.
