Florida death-thrash band INTOXICATED are preparing to unleash their third full-length album, The Dome, on March 27, 2026 via Redefining Darkness. The band has now released their new single, “Carved in Stone”
Vocalist/guitarist Erik Payne states:
“‘Carved in Stone’ is written for the sickening ‘elites’; the ones that have gone unchecked and how they should be petrified of their demise.”
Formed in 1993 in Altamonte Springs, Florida, INTOXICATED quickly carved a name in Florida’s extreme metal lineage, receiving early mentorship from Chuck Schuldiner of Death. Their signature sound blends thrash and death metal, drawing comparisons to Death, Sadus, and Obituary.
After a lengthy hiatus during which Payne and other members toured with Andrew W.K., the band reactivated in 2019. Their comeback included the Walled EP (2020) and their acclaimed debut full-length, Watch You Burn (2022), featuring guests Ken Andrews and Tony Foresta and production by Ryan Boesch (Foo Fighters, Andrew W.K.).
Produced by Erik Payne and Ryan Boesch at Candor Recording, Tampa, Florida, The Dome delivers 27 minutes of relentless thrash/death fury across ten tracks, including standout singles “Carved in Stone” and “Shifted Cross”.
