POWERPLAY Announce New Single “Liberosis,” Featuring COMEBACK KID’s Andrew Neufeld

Miami hardcore band POWERPLAY kick off a new era with the release of their latest single, “Liberosis”, their first output since signing with Terminus Hate City. The track features a guest appearance from Andrew Neufeld of COMEBACK KID, adding an extra surge of urgency and conviction to an already powerful statement.

Listen to “Liberosis” here:

Born out of the pandemic in 2021, POWERPLAY began as a creative outlet rather than a full-fledged band. As vocalist Adam Hussler explains, what started as a low-pressure project between experienced musicians quickly evolved into something far bigger. That organic growth is reflected in “Liberosis”, a song rooted in perspective, resilience, and connection.

Lyrically, “Liberosis” confronts mental health struggles and the long-standing emotional weight many people carry. Framed as an anthemic rallying cry, the song acknowledges that while life can feel overwhelming, no one has to endure it alone. Its core message centers on acceptance, recognizing what we can and can’t control, and drawing strength from friends, family, and community.

Featuring members Adam Hussler (vocals), Julius Lopez (drums), Andrew Herrero (bass), and Oscar Rodriguez (guitar), POWERPLAY blend classic hardcore urgency with deeply personal themes. Influenced by bands like SICK OF IT ALL, BLOOD FOR BLOOD, WHERE FEAR AND WEAPONS MEET, and BURIED ALIVE, their sound is raw, direct, and built for both self-reflection and packed, sweat-drenched rooms.

Following the release of their 2024 EP Sealed Envelopes, relentless touring across the U.S. and Central America, and now their signing to Terminus Hate City, POWERPLAY are entering a new chapter, one defined by honesty, intensity, and unity.

POWERPLAY is:

  • Adam Hussler – Vocals
  • Julius Lopez – Drums
  • Andrew Herrero – Bass
  • Oscar Rodriguez – Guitar

With “Liberosis”, POWERPLAY reaffirm that hardcore is as much about shared struggle and solidarity as it is about volume, and they’re just getting started.
