Italy’s Aexylium Drops “Hexe” Music Video as Myth of Mankind Album Releases

Italian folk metal band Aexylium has released their music video for “Hexe” today, May 26, 2025, coinciding with the launch of their third studio album, Myth of Mankind, via Rockshots Records. The 11-track album, which dropped on May 23, features a dynamic blend of folk, power, progressive, and melodic death metal, showcasing the band’s evolution since their 2014 formation in Varese, Italy. “Hexe,” highlighted as a standout track by RockmusicRaider, channels a darker, almost Cradle of Filth-inspired vibe with its Dani Filth-like vocal moments. The album, recorded at Twilight Studio by Davide Tavecchia with artwork by Gustavo Sazes, includes songs like “The Queen,” “Eclissi,” and “Northern Lights,” balancing heavy riffs, orchestral grandeur, and traditional instruments like flutes and violins.

Aexylium—Sam Biganzoli (vocals), Arianna Bellinaso (vocals), Fabio Buzzago (guitar), Luca Perrone (guitar), Gabriele Cacocciola (bass), Alberto Mezzanotte (drums), Federico Bonoldi (violin), Leandro Pessina (flutes), and Stefano Colombo (keyboards)—has been praised for their intricate arrangements, with Myth of Mankind marking a shift from their earlier Norse mythology focus to more abstract, introspective themes. The band, known for sharing stages with acts like Blind Guardian and Elvenking, will celebrate the release live on May 31 at Centrale Rock Pub in Erba, Italy, followed by Strigarium Festival on June 8. Stream Myth of Mankind on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, and catch the “Hexe” video on YouTube.
