German thrash metal legends KREATOR return with a new single, “Tränenpalast”, taken from their upcoming 16th full-length album Krushers Of The World, due January 16th via Nuclear Blast Records.
Arriving just in time for Halloween, “Tränenpalast” pays homage to Dario Argento’s 1977 horror masterpiece Suspiria. Musically, the song nods to the film’s haunting score by Goblin, reimagined through KREATOR’s signature thrash ferocity and melodic death metal touch. The lyrics reference The Three Mothers, the ancient witch coven from the Suspiria universe.
The accompanying music video, directed by the dark visionaries at Grupa 13, immerses viewers in Suspiria’s eerie ballet school setting, merging KREATOR’s performance with surreal imagery of witches and possession.
Featuring guest vocals from Britta Görtz (HIRAES), “Tränenpalast” stands as both a cinematic homage and a violent declaration of artistic intent, a track that bridges the occult atmosphere of Italian horror and the aggression of German thrash.
